The hotel had a central position really close to the main area in the city center, the vineyards and the Academia. The staff were caring, and the public parking was available.

Caring staff and magnificent location away from the main tourist area, everything was nice. I loved the room with breakfast. The design was nice. The stay was just perfect; nothing too much trouble.

The hotel is nice, clean and the price is reasonable. Laura the owner and Gian Marco were extremely helpful. There was a fruit basket and a bottle of wine waiting for us, the jacuzzi was nice, rooms were decent size. Kitchen is available though didn't use it, washer/dryer is small (regular size in Europe). I love the suite we stayed in and this is my second trip to Florence. The first place I stayed in was absolutely mediocre compared to this hotel. My family and I would love to go back and will definitely stay at First of Florence again.
Everytime the maids clean the rooms they would leave the front door open and mosquitoes would fly in. The elevator is ancient and can only accommodate four regular size people.

The rooms here were big and well-designed, complete with a nice bathroom and a balcony for chillin'. the beds were just right, not too soft nor too hard. 🛏️ Plus, you could practically touch an ancient cathedral from this spot; it's that close!

We had the family 'room' which was two floors and slept six in two bedrooms upstairs and a downstairs pullout. Great if you are traveling with kids or simply want more privacy. Room was excellent and a great value - all the amenities of an apartment with hotel convenience. The welcome fruit bowl and bottle of wine was an excellent touch and the desk staff was tremendous. All in all a definite recommend, which warranted a longer stay.
(Nothing to do with the hotel) but finding it can be a little hard as the Florence street numbering system apparently reuses the numbers twice on the same street. Simply goto the SECOND 38 on Via Dei Servi which is slighty farther away from the Duomo.

Excellent location excellent service. Best place to stay in terms of proximity to duomo and academia galleria for michaelengelo's David.
Wifi is unstable inside the rooms though works in the lobby.

The service here was top-notch. My room was sparkling clean and brand-new, complete with a cozy balcony. the beds were firm and comfortable, guaranteeing a good night's sleep. Plus, the bathroom was lovely and well-maintained. the location of this place couldn't be better, right by an art gallery! 🎨

Laura did an excellent job of making us feel at home for the time spent in Florence. We were left welcoming wine, candies, fruit and even pasta and sauce for a meal. The location is very close to the Duomo and Statue of David.
I'm a light sleeper and like many of the cities, there is some noise from motorcycles that can be heard. I did not feel it was excessive.

I'm pleased to endorse First of Florence and would highly recommend.
We wanted to be central to everything and we were, but found our room very noisy, even with the windows shut. However, this inconvenience was minor compared to having the amenities of washer/dryer, small kitchen, etc.

Ms. Laura at the reception was incredibly kind and very helpful. I came into town with my two children, and felt immediately secure and cared- for as if I was in my own home. The kitchenette is nice--refrigerator, electric teapot, dishes, pans and glasses (even wine and tea). Housekeeping tidied-up every day very well. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet (though we were there in early November)!!
The only complaint were the tile floors. When my daughter roamed around inside the room(s) in her white socks, they became quite darkly stained-- as if the floor hadn't been mopped for a while......
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
